Patanjali Yoga Sutra – Chapter-1 –
verse-25 :-

तत्र निरतिशय सर्वज्ञत्वबीजम् ॥ ।२५।
|
In him, knowledge is infinite; in others it is only a germ.
|
स पूत्वेषामपि गुरु: कालेनानवच्छेदात् ॥ ।२६।
|
He was the teacher even of the earliest teachers, since He is
not limited by time.
|
These two slokas mentions the Ishwara’s attribute of
Omniscience. Man has limited knowledge
but the Supreme God’s knowledge is infinite. Patanjali reasons that Supreme God being
timeless, there was no teacher for him but he was the first teacher.
